Hibernation

Now during the first months of the year the vineyards went into hibernation, hence take their well deserved winter sleep to gain new strength for the upcoming season.

Susanna and her parents have cut out all the unnecessary branches and trimmed down and fixed the remaining ones downwards to the wires.

It’s very silent and peaceful during these days out in the vineyard and during the current bitter-cold days one could almost smell the peace and silence of winter.

Meanwhile in the cellar the greater part of the red wine has been filed into a two year old barrique barrel and the white one has already been pre-filtered and is planned to undergo final filtering and bottling sometime in March.

The first ever “real” bottle of Keinpächter comes closer and closer…
